I have had good results with my Cuisinart CPT-140PK four slice toaster. It preforms very well, no burnt or undertoasted bread or begals. I set it at between 2 and 3 the first use and that is where it has stayed. All of the functions work well. I am sure that someone will get a bad unit at some point in time as I have never found every unit to be perfect in anything I have bought.
